Two down two to go

Two down two to go; St Abbs on Friday, Coldstream on Saturday and DP have Duns and Greenlaw still on the roster!

Purely as an audience member, it was a pleasure to see three pieces move so easily from the rehearsal studio to the stage.

Touring presents it’s own challenges and this is a real learning experience for The Players. The Ebba Centre at St. Abbs is a lovely wee hall but has no stage, so we performed on the floor. The audience had to adjust their seats from time to time to maintain their sight-lines but there was no great problem. The space was well lit courtesy of lights purchased from our grant from the Blackhall Windfarm for which much thanks.

The Eildon Centre at Coldstream has a stage but it is “compact and bijou” in estate agent parlance but Holly, Helen, Jerry and Kate made the transition effortlessly.

So… forthcoming attractions. Friday night (28th) in The Volly Hall, Duns. Saturday (1st Mar) in Greenlaw… and owing to an unavoidable change to the programme there is no charge for entrance in Greenlaw!

Our next production is Tracey’s Wedding

This will form part of the celebrations of Duns Festival in July. Written and directed by local author (and incidentally President of Duns Players) Bob Noble this is the third of a trilogy of romantic comedies.
